Connections

My photo composites go a bit beyond the traditional photomontage approach; I photograph collage elements, fabric, found objects, and drawings to create multi-layered imagery. Each image is constructed of many different layers arranged one upon the other. These layers incorporate stacks of colors, visual ideas, shapes, and patterns. Many of these composites consist of several layers. I also use blending modes to add or subtract from an image. The end result is not based on an absolute or fixedidea of what I think the image should be, but rather one that speaks to an intuitive self- expression.
